Michigan
Apply for your marriage license in person in the county in which either party
resides. Bring a copy of both parties' certified birth
certificates. The cost varies most counties requires Cash or money order only. Michigan law requires a three-day waiting period between the time you apply and when the license is issued. The marriage license is valid for 33 days from the date of application, and only in the state of Michigan. You must be 18 years of age in order to apply for a marriage license without parental consent. If you're 16-18 years old, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
